Enterprise browse-and-request experiences built across React and Django services.
The context
Through Arbisoft, I contributed to Open edX, an open-source learning platform. My work included enterprise learning workflows and the testing and delivery systems that support them.
My contribution
- Implemented an end-to-end browse-and-request feature across React and Django microservices.
- Built Playwright end-to-end tests and a periodically running GitHub Actions pipeline.
- Used Jest for regression coverage and contributed drag-and-drop functionality to the admin panel.
- Resolved a critical Jenkins pipeline issue affecting more than 250 enterprise customers.
- Helped another team reduce a large list’s click delay from multiple seconds to near-instant by virtualizing the list and replacing an array-based lookup with a hash map.
What came together
Enterprise users gained a way to browse and request learning content. The testing work included 80% unit test coverage and a periodic end-to-end pipeline. The Jenkins fix resolved an issue affecting more than 250 enterprise customers, while the list optimization made clicks feel immediate.
